Privacy Policy

A short, plain-language explanation of what we collect when you visit CryptoBaltimore, why, and what choices you have.

Last updated 20 August 2026Applies to cryptobaltimore.com

CryptoBaltimore is a content site. We do not run accounts, we do not process payments, and we never ask you for a wallet recovery phrase, private key, card number or bank login. This policy covers the limited data our site does handle.

1. Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information, both minimal:

  • Information you provide directly. If you email contact@cryptobaltimore.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and, where relevant, to correct the page you wrote about.
  • Automatically collected technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and any analytics tool we use may log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page and approximate timestamps. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and to keep the site secure — not to identify you individually.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

This site may use essential cookies required for basic functionality and, if enabled, privacy-conscious analytics cookies to understand aggregate traffic patterns. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of individual visitors. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings; doing so should not affect your ability to read this site.

3. Affiliate links and outbound tracking

Some links to exchanges on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination platform may set its own tracking parameter or cookie to record that you arrived from CryptoBaltimore, so we can be credited if you open an account. That tracking is controlled by the destination platform under its own privacy policy, not by us — we do not receive your personal information from that platform as part of this arrangement, only aggregate referral data.

4. Third-party sites

We link throughout the site to exchanges, government regulators and news sources. Once you leave cryptobaltimore.com, that site's own privacy policy applies. We encourage you to read it, particularly before creating an account or submitting identity documents anywhere.

5. How we use information

  • To respond to emails, corrections and questions sent to us
  • To understand, in aggregate, which pages and topics are useful to readers
  • To detect and prevent abuse, spam or security issues affecting the site
  • To meet legal obligations where applicable

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email with third parties for their own marketing.

6. Data retention

Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and, where relevant, as a record of a correction we made. Aggregate technical logs are retained for a limited period consistent with normal hosting and security practice, then deleted or fully anonymised.

7. Your choices

  • Decline or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time
  • Ask us what information we hold about you and request a copy
  • Ask us to correct or delete personal information you have sent us
  • Unsubscribe from any communication, if you have opted into one

To exercise any of these, email contact@cryptobaltimore.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we handle, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we ask that you never send sensitive financial credentials — passwords, seed phrases, card or bank details — to us by email; we will never ask for them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.

11. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to contact@cryptobaltimore.com.
